Professor of digital compositing and post production courses including Fundamentals of Media
Design,Basic and Advanced Digital Post Production, Entrepreneurial Video, and others. Developed
Interactive Digital Media area of the school in the ‘80’s. Named an Apple Distinguished Educator by
Apple Computer in 2001. Actively involved with the development of HDTV conversion and digital
filmmaking practices and present nationally at educational conferences and exhibits. Past Technology
Coordinator for Broadcast Education Association, educational division of the National Association of
Broadcasters. BEA Festival of Media Arts awards producer for four years. Produced numerous
promotional videos for the university of which 10 have won First Place awards from the Broadcast
Education Association. Past supervisor of the JMU Video Network, a co-curricular production activity
which produced JMU TODAY, a student EMMY and ITVA Golden Reel winning weekly news magazine
program. Served as faculty senator, on ten university and school committees, and other special
service organizations.

Developed plans and coordinated the establishment of the first Apple Certified Training Center for Education in the United States. The Center offers numerous certified and non-certified workshops on Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, Non-Linear Editing, After Effects, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and other software skills.

Coordinated Network's educational program development from generation of new concepts through production process to distribution, including syndication. Prepared proposals, developed funding methods, negotiated contractual relationships, and served as producer on specific programs.
